ETSI Launches New Data-Quality Framework for Trustworthy AI

ETSI has announced a new technical framework defining standardized metrics for assessing data quality, positioning data quality as an important enabler for trustworthy AI.

Standardising AI data quality creates an emerging intersection between AI systems, data infrastructure, evaluation methods, technical standards, implementation and IP. For organisations building AI platforms, enterprise AI infrastructure or AI governance technology, standards activity can be an early indicator of future technology and IP positioning. The commercial question is not what the standard defines, but which technical mechanisms may become important enough to influence product architecture, patent strategy and competitive positioning.
